LUIS PHAT KAT VEGA
Born in New York's Lower East Side, Luis "PhatKat" Vega's love for music began in his childhood. At the age of 18, he landed his first deal with Tuff City Records. There, he met label mate 45 King, which led him to produce for Queen Latifah. This collaboration resulted in him signing with Empire Artist Management.
Under Empire Artist Management, he stayed busy, producing two more tracks for Queen Latifah, as well as for Naughty by Nature, Gang Starr, Nice and Smooth, Lakim Shabazz, The Pasadenas, The Chimes, Wailing Souls, the late Johnny Pacheco, Ben E King, Junior Reid, Masta Ace, Gerardo, Marky Mark, Aswad, Lissette Melendez, Ndea Davenport, and many others.
His latest project, "Bronx Born Negro Stacks," is a collaboration with top producer Paul Pistachio. Together, they have created a hot album with a blend of hip-hop, Latin, reggae, salsa, and pop influences. Set to release in 2024.
